| UPDATE: Volcano shuts down Irish airspace |

As we have reported yesterday, the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) have informed all airlines that Irish Airports will be impacted today (4th May) by the restrictions iimposed as a result of the drift south of the volcanic ash cloud. According to IAA, the flight ban affect Dublin, Shannon Galway, Sligo, Ireland West (Knock), Donegal, Cork and Kerry and it will be lifted not sooner than 1300 GMT. The over-flights of Ireland from the UK and Europe are not impacted. The current image of ash cloud can be seen here. |
