The airspace of Slovakia has been re-opened to all air traffic, after being closed for several days because of a huge cloud of ash from an erupting Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland which has led to air-transport chaos across Europe.

Flights were allowed to resume early on Monday, however, the Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair plans to operate a full schedule as of Thursday, 1100 GMT. The situation still continues to be unstable and may lead to delays and cancellations. Passengers are advised to seek more detailed information concerning planned flights on airline websites.
